Art Notes:
This piece was created as one of five in a new series specifically focused on sunsets. This was a challenging but fun piece to create. I took the reference photo many, many years ago, at one of our Sauble Beach sunset visits. It was a tradition to try and catch the sun setting at the beach while staying nearby at least once per trip. My parents started taking our family to Sauble in the 80s and after my husband and I started our own family, we continued to vacation there almost every summer. Sometimes camping, sometimes renting a cottage in town. And we always rushed to the waters edge to watch the sunset, when we could. Usually to marvel and just reflect on the beauty but, also on life and feel the gratitude and to embrace the promise of a new day tomorrow.
