Art Notes:

This study was created as an exercise in spontaneity and creative intuition, to teach my hand to follow my mind’s eye and vision vs. thinking and planning and crafting the piece. I had snapped the reference photo back in 2020 from a stay on Lake of Two Rivers in Algonquin Provincial Park.

Since creating this study, I re-created something similar, as an Acrylic on a 12”x12” gallery-wrapped canvas for a local 2023 Square Foot Show. The piece is titled “Day is Done” and can be viewed in my artwork portfolio. Check out the newer piece.
